| AX100For higher security applications the AX100 can be programmed for two methods of verification before releasing the lock. As an example a user would need a valid Card and Pin code to release the door. Something you have and something you know. The AX100 supports most standard reader technologies and card formats, which allows the use in most cases of existing cards, these include smart cards, magswipe cards, chip cards and Biometrics. The AX100 can be programmed using a local PC. By connection of the supplied lead to the PC and the free AX100 software, the AX100 will be automatically configured by the hardware wizard. Whilst connected cards can be added or deleted using the card wizards all programming is automatically uploaded to the AX100. When disconnected from the AX100 shall function as programmed in standalone mode. AX100's can be programmed on a remote PC running the AX100 software without any physical connection to the AX100's using a Data Transfer Unit (DTU). The DTU is a small device that when plugged into a PC allows you to add and delete cards for up to 256 AX100's. After programming has been completed simply un-plug the DTU from the PC and plug into the AX100 face plate. Each AX100 has a unique ID so the corresponding card information and configuration is automatically downloaded to the correct AX100.Standard support for up to 2,000 cards and 2,000 pin codes, this can be expanded by plugging in a larger memory module to 16,000 cards and 16,000 pin codes. When running the AX100 software a single AX100 can remain online for live transactions and you can even remotely open or lock the door. Where many doors are required to be permanently online then the AX100 needs to be connected to our AX200 Ethernet controller.
